Information for Campers
The following information is given to campers in
the Reserve Area for their own benefit and in the endeavour to make
camping more pleasant for all:
- All campers must check with the Ranger before
setting up camp or occupying sites. A LIMIT OF ONE CAR ONLY PER
SITE IS PERMITTED. Extra cars must be parked outside the camping
areas and are liable for a parking fee of $15 per week. Visitors
cars must remain outside the camping areas. Campers must declare
their parking needs to the Ranger when booking in.
- BOOKING OFFICE HOURS: 9:30am - 12 noon, 1:30pm
- 4:30pm on weekends.
- CHRISTMAS BOOKING EXTENDING UNTIL END OF
JANUARY TO BE PAID IN FULL.

- GARBAGE: On checking in, all campers will be
issued with a 10 gallon plastic rubbish bin with clip-on lid, for
which a deposit of $15 is to be paid. Rubbish must be wrapped and
placed in plastic bins provided, which are to be placed along the
nearest road for collection each morning. No campers rubbish is to
be placed in open steel bins or left at bottle collection points.
Bins must be clean and in good condition when returned for
deposit.
- DOGS: will not be allowed in the camping areas.
- BIKES: Helmets must be worn at all times. Push
bikes must not be ridden in the camping areas.
- TREES and SHRUBS: must not be removed or
damaged under any circumstances. This represents a breach of the
Foreshore Regulations and will be strictly dealt with.
- Young children are to be accompanied by an
adult to amenities block at all times.
- LITTER: Campers are requested to refrain from
the careless disposal of wrappers, empty packets and other litter,
and to help keep sites tidy at all times.
- FIRES: No open fires allowed without approval
of Park Manager during restricted periods, fires of any kind in
the open (including barbecues or gas barbecues) constitute a
breach of regulations.
- GEM DIGGING IS COMPLETELY BANNED.
- FENCING: It has been necessary to fence off
areas for the protection of the foreshore and soil conservation.
Access tracks provided to beach areas must be used at all times
and no fencing removed, cut or otherwise interfered with.
- The person whose name appears on the receipt is
responsible for the conduct of all members of the party and
visitors.
- Noisy parties, offensive behaviour,
drunkenness, vandalism, will not be tolerated.
- All person not complying with the above
regulations could incur a PENALTY OF LOSS OF CAMP SITE.
- Campers can book by mail but stamped addressed
envelope must be enclosed.
- ONLY FAMILY GROUPS under Parental Control will
be allowed to camp during Christmas, Easter, and on public holiday
weekends.
- The Ranger has the right to ask any person to leave the park
for any infringement of any of the above rules.
